Crack Dog - amazing. My friend Ger showed me this the other day and it blew my mind.

“…and that master… was crack”.

I love Ween. They’re just right.

This clip from ‘93 sees them a year before “Chocolate and Cheese”, their first commercially successful studio record on the back of their first four albums, all made at home using multi-track recorders.

The Jane Pratt show that the clip is taken from seems to be a special focusing on “home-made media”. Both Gene and Dean Ween seem rather toasted, and I particularly enjoy the look of horror on poor Jane Pratt’s face when she realises this mid-interview. See if you can spot the oh-no-they’re-completely-stoned-wrap-the-interview-up-now look on her face, it’s a delight.

However, what’s really great is how they go on to absolutely nail the performance. To fans of Ween this wouldn’t have been a big surprise, but you can imagine viewers at home being pretty amazed about this following the (charmingly) awkward preceding interview.

Gene Ween’s Al Wilson-like falsetto is unexpected and absolutely huge. Enjoy.
